I theorised the other day about the ST securing a decent shareholding (49%?), funded by "local" business on the understanding that they open up a steady stream of funding into the club to cover day-to-day running costs.

ED retains ownership of the club and what's left of the assets but shunts the costs onto some other mugs.

Purely speculation and most probably utter tripe but I can't shake this feeling I've had from day one about the ST that it's all been rushed through at 100 mph and somebody within the club is behind it.

Possibility of Phil and/or Eddie involved. Or some offshore chicanery going on to maximise assets ready for selling as soon as the ST takes over and collapses as funds dry up in time for next season? Call me a cynic but the urgency to set up the ST seems to have died down since a lot of people are challenging the stance of the "Three" negotiating on behalf of the fans. It's all very dodgy. And this "We'll make a statement on Monday" concerning HMRC and the sale of the carpark is again another "Bla b;ah in 48 hours." Well they ain't getting my money until some transparency occurs quickly.

Is that confirmed Nat? I really hope not. Don't get me wrong I think he's done an awful job as chairman but I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. Pancreatic Cancer is seriously vicious and horrifically painful from what I've read with very few survivors. 

If that's what Phil has then my heart goes out to him and his family.

They've announced on their website that he's been appointed Chairman of the steering committee but omitted to publish any details of who he is and why he's been chosen.

Not really helping their own cause with moves like that one, which comes hot on the heels of the statement in Saturday's BN about how great the club are being with them and which basically accuses anybody who asks awkward questions and fails to back them 100% as the only voice out there representing the fans of being anti-BWFC.

Bunch of knobs and I trust them even less with every passing day.

Brett Warburton is also one of the Directors at the Free School too.

Also Hurst is listed as Chairman of Trustees At Bolton Arena.

Other interest include being the chairman of Richard Threlfall Group Ltd and a director at Markland Hill LTC Ltd, Orseal Ltd and Sil-teq Ltd.

So it seems like hipster was wrong all along, the "cockney mafia" do have the cash. I personally feel that Holdsworth has been very professional throughout this saga and I think he holds the club dear to his heart.

Wouldn't blame him if he walked away now though, Davies is taking the piss
