Yes I do.
And I don't think he was oblivious - he couldn't help but notice his money going down the pan - but I think he was fed a constant stream of reassurances and positive assertions by a man he had always trusted, so let things slide as far as he could.

And when the lie finally became impossible to sustain, ED had a proper really close look past the smoke and mirrors and realised immediately that he had no choice but to pull the plug - which set this whole charabanc a-rolling.

Because if someone...ahem....."owed" me £180 million, there's no way I'd be relying on a quick chat on the phone once a week to make sure everything was ok.

HMRC have a point. We've had plenty of chance to pay the bill and sort this out and for whatever reason, we haven't.

Bit fucking tense reading this lov feed. It's in the balance a bit.

Only real option now is for ED to pay the bill and hope SS gets the funding.

If ED or a buyer is playing negotiation games they'd better step up to the plate before the decision is announced because if there is no case for trying to save the club - and there isn't a business case that I can see - liquidation could be the verdict and that means the end.
