I work on one side of the base and the gym is on the other side, you can see it with a pair of binoculars, so if I can't get a lift then I have to go on foot and by the time I get there I'm too knackered for any exercise beyond sit downs. On my days off I sometimes pop in and try some of the gadgets but I can't really form a regime to benefit me, though I am reasonably fit. The PTIs sometimes send me on a bit of a run as I have to meet certain criteria. But the buggers follow me around on bikes so not really fair. It's a sod being an expert loafer.

Go for it mate, and remember, its all about you.y2johnny wrote:gloswhite wrote:Good luck Johnny.
For myself, I think I will have to do something, but I cant start until I've got rid of (eaten), all the biscuits and stuff we got for Christmas. There's still quite a bit left. Although I have started, by parking the car an extra 5 feet from the door, (you can't rush into these things).
I've found in the past that portion sizes are the first thing to tackle, and trying to reduce salt, sugar, and fat.
I'm great at doing this during the day, however, everything goes to rat shit after tea and I'm in and out of the kitchen nearly all night. I also find that before I can try anything, I have to work my way into the right mental state, and no matter how much I want to, if I have, (or had), any exercises to do, it was always worthwhile having someone to do it with, and then you are more likely not to cancel for minor reasons.
Thanks glos. I prefer being a billy doing it as i can work at my own pace and don't feel the need to over do it.
Actually excited about it like i was the last time i really got into it.

Missus and her mate have just started the SIRT diet which appears to be trending at the moment. From what I can gather it gives you a list of foods that are mainly greens but includes blueberries, dark chocolate, red wine and specific fruits and you blend up a drink that you have to take 3 times a day along with specific meals which look OK as rabbit food goes.
The hype reckons the weight will tumble if you stick to it.
Just found an article about it from that paragon of medical expertise, Marie Claire:
Rabbit food diet with vino
