We've got a new boss. He came in today to explain how he was about to improve working practices 'going forward'.
When he set up a whiteboard I left the room. It might get nasty tomorrow.

Just remember that, whilst he may appear dead earnest and keen as he's trying to convince you that it'll make your working day better,......

Like you, he also knows that it's a pile of bollocks and it probably won't work.

But he's got to justify his salary somehow and a whiteboard full of scrawl is an indispensable tool when it comes to convincing whoever signs the cheques that you're actually doing something.

It's a game.

You ponce around for a bit, nod a lot, shake your head a bit and look mildly troubled then you lock yourself in an office with your laptop and charge them £500 a day for posting on here.

So long as you produce a report with some recommendations that appear to make sense and are full of jargon, you're fine.

And the real beauty is, if they don't take it on board and nothing improves, you can say it's their fault.

Easy life and I'd recommend it to everyone.

Have you ever had a season ticket in the north upper

Nope.

West Upper for the first two seasons (before we sussed out that it wasn't the greatest spot) and then East Lower for the next six years.

Then on to Armchair Central where I've remained ever since.

The view's not the best but access to concessions is great and the bogs are always spotless.

Bread2.0 wrote:It is indeed, very true about the Pound Bakery.

They asked me to go in and have a look at how they could reduce the unit cost of producing their cakes because their margin wasn't big enough.

When I asked how much it was costing them to make an eclair, they told me it was about 2p.

So I just laughed and politely declined their invitation.

Cheap, nasty ingredients, shit quality control and not the cleanest bakery I've ever seen.

Avoid.
Ffs here he goes again. I had that for my dinner you bastard. Any chance you could provide a list of places that are safe?
