So May comes back from Brussels, lies that she has changed anything and hopes that her deal will get through parliament. It will be interesting to see how many brexiteers buy this bullshit.

It'll be interesting to see how long she can keep a straight face.

Hard-line EU stooges have rejected the deal so it obviously won't pass.

You mean hard line brexit loonies. The EU agreed May's original deal. It is hardly their fault that she can't persuade the mental cases in the DUP and ERG to support it.

It'll get through. We'll all be dancing in the streets later this evening.

Even the government's own senior legal advisor says "the risk of the UK being tied to EU rules after Brexit "remains unchanged" despite the latest changes to the PM's deal, the attorney general has said.

Geoffrey Cox said there remained no "internationally lawful means" of leaving the Irish backstop without the EU's agreement."

Just May telling lies again. Rolling Eyes

Well they wish to leave the EU and it's associated bodies. Not exactly a leap to think they wouldn't back something that keeps the country tied to them.

What it seems to me is that the politicians don't seem to understand that if it all goes back to another referendum, then they have failed miserably, in the biggest democratic exercise this country has ever undertaken. To top it off, they are now trying to absolve themselves of all blame, by trying to hand the job back to the public. What do they expect us to do ? If leave is upheld, what then? Our politicians, of all parties, are an absolute disgrace, and I for one, would ensure, if I could, that each and every one was deselected after this debacle. Most are so far up their own arses, all you can see are their shoes.

That is the trouble with referendums. They are too blunt an instrument to handle something as complicated as membership of the EU.

Leaving aside the dishonesty in the campaign voters were given a binary choice but no idea what voting leave would actually mean. There are a number of different ways to leave the EU ranging from no deal to a Norway model. All May offered was brexit means brexit. She then proceeded to shoot herself in the foot by laying down her red lines to humour the hard core brexiteers. She followed this up by shooting herself in the other foot with her disastrous election campaign.

She then negotiated a deal which pleased nobody and keeps expecting parliament to approve it. The deal sucks and everybody knows it. Even she admitted that it was worse than remaining in the EU!

So what are MPs supposed to do? Back a toxic deal?

I'm a leave voter. But I simply don't care anymore.

The whole thing is a farce.

Time to get back to domestic politics and put this in the history books it's finished.
