Anyone still use a typewriter?
Found my old one in the loft today, along with a few other things that have faded into history.
Still works, but I'm not sure I'll ever be using it, even if I knew if ribbons were still available.
Amazing what the last 30 years has consigned to the scrapheap.

Anyroadup, I got in and out of the loft without incident, and that, I consider an achievement worthy of note.

My Beano hasn't arrived. I'll now have to go down to my local newsagent to ascertain what the hell is going on.
The things I have to put up with.

Slippers are no laughing matter. Anyway, loafers aren't slippers. I've mentioned this before.
Anyway, my Beano was under the counter.

Under the counter Beano’s? I don’t remember that happening under a Labour government.boltonbonce wrote:Slippers are no laughing matter. Anyway, loafers aren't slippers. I've mentioned this before.

Ian Hislop might think that pensioners have got it made but I’m not so sure about that.
Don’t you think you might be getting too much spending money though, Boncey. You wouldn’t be one of those 45% taxpayers would you?

I spend all my money on watches. I dress like Compo Simmonite, but check out the wrist candy.Ten Bobsworth wrote:

Ooh what a fibber you are, Boncey.
Carr's pasties, Service My Car shirts, Beano subscriptions, slippers, watches?
The Beano, I don't mind so much. It is educational but is there no end to your Viv Nicholson tendencies?
I blame Sam The Sham for setting you a bad example.

It's all described as 'junk' by the rest of the family. They don't even eat Carrs pasties.Ten Bobsworth wrote:

My declining years are being spent buying rubbish that only I can love, and if they think I'll be leaving a full bank account when I go, they've got another think coming.
By the way, Bob, 2023 marks the 70th anniversary of Rodger the Dodger.
