Just been informed by our Creamline milkman that they now deliver compost.

I watched a few old episodes of Camberwick Green today, and in one episode, Windy Miller got pissed on homemade cider.
Where was Mary Whitehouse back then?

Only just got the internet back on. Been a big Sky outage across Cheshire apparently.
Had to get the old Owzthat game out.
Nuts won a three game series against Men With Rude Sounding Names 2-1.
Well done also to our opposition captain, drag artist, Wilma Fingerdoo, who posted a double century in the first game.
We did well to come from behind, and take the spoils.
Next up, Dead Comedians.

And Pokkit Socca. It's amazing how often the Whites win the FA cup when I play it. And I don't cheat.okocha wrote:T20 World Cup in Melbourne this morning:- at least Owzat can be played whatever the weather!
I remember as a kid getting the pitch out of the tube and deciding to iron the ridges out of it.
Unfortunately, the pitch was plastic, so I melted it, ruining mum's iron in the process.
I decided to make my own pitch on green A4 paper, which, if I say so myself, is far superior.

The Cajun Stable National Hunt season kicks off tomorrow.
Hacker Des Places has been declared to run in the following race:
Saturday 29 October
2.05 Ascot (ITV) - Bateaux London Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) 1m7f+
There are ten runners and Angus Cheleda (claims 5lb) is booked to ride.
He had a good season last year culminating in him winning a £30,000+ first prize at The Aintree Grand National meeting.
I guess he will need the race, especially as he is top weight.

I must say, things have really picked up for me in recent months. People are so friendly towards me these days, even supermarket staff are full of hearty bonhomie.
Yes, the world's a better place since I started putting pants on to go out.

Perhaps if you put trousers on too, things could get even better.

I always call trousers 'pants'.Cajunboy wrote:Perhaps if you put trousers on too, things could get even better.
Never used to. Can't think when I started. Nor when I started calling the settee a sofa.
And when did the front room become the lounge?
We live in troubled times.

Yes, I always said setee in the past but strangely I find myself saying sofa nowadays.
The front room as I called it too was a special place with no heating on apart from on special occasions.
I practised the piano in there and when it was very cold I was allowed to put one bar of the electric fire on. A coal fire at Christmas and New Year.
My wife says hotels have lounges , we have a sitting room, but then she is from Tunbridge Wells.

I'm still on my death bed, if anyone cares. I didn't get up this morning, I was exhumed.
I've been living on Jaffa Cakes and Lemsip for days, and I've lost all track of time.
Trying to put my pyjama pants on last night I put my foot in the fly, ripping them right down the leg. Ruined.
Didn't bother me, but some people are so picky.
