I’ve been for a haircut this morning. I was beginning to look like Natasha in drag with long hair.

Helps to be a lucky bowler too.Sluffy wrote:
I once took four wickets in four consecutive balls in the same over - true story.
The third wicket was a run out - so I couldn't claim the hat trick but I bowled the new batsman with the very next ball.
I was really the opening bat rather than a bowler, but I got thrown the ball every once in a while to break a partnership - and surprisingly more often than not it did!
I really just bowled rather slowly at the stumps and either got thumped all over the pitch or got a wicket!
Happy days.
Great cricketer that he was, Ian Botham was very adept at getting a wicket with a bad ball, as a few Aussies will testify.

I started cutting my own hair during lockdown, and haven't stopped.karlypants wrote:I’ve been for a haircut this morning. I was beginning to look like Natasha in drag with long hair.
The results are somewhat erratic, but I always wear a cap, so the horror isn't usually on show.
Imagine a police mug shot of Albert Einstein, and you'll be close.

I watched an episode of Dennis and Gnasher on Prime the other day, and I found it rather far fetched.
Dennis was trying to avoid his dad, who wanted to get him in the bath. The Ministry of Defence on the other hand were keen to keep him unwashed, as his smelly socks were their latest secret weapon.
I wasn't very impressed by this storyline, but it was only episode 3, and I'm hoping the writing gets tighter as I head for season 2.

My mum used to do mine and then the Mrs took over the hair cutting with the circa 25 year old Philips electric clippers and have never looked back.boltonbonce wrote:I started cutting my own hair during lockdown, and haven't stopped.karlypants wrote:I’ve been for a haircut this morning. Upgraded to the cordless all round body shaver last year and it’s brilliant for just £25 and has already paid for itself.
The Mrs told me it was £15 just for kids
It’s a nice treat here to have the personal touch at just under 4 quid.

I don't mind packing a finger in ice and heading off to A+E, but even I have my limits.
