You can get decent cards at Card Factory for under a quid, yet people still pay £3 for the same thing at other shops.

I don't understand why people want to pay £3 for what is little more than a piece of cardboard.
And something that goes straight in the bin, if truth be told.

Speak for yourself. I still have the card you sent me when I won the 'BWFC's Most Beautiful Fan' competition.

That's nice. How you beat me into second that year I'll never know.

I've tracked down some Lancashire parkin at Beetham Nurseries shop, Boncey

It hasn't had Lady Bobsworth's taste test yet but the quality looks excellent and they don't stock rubbish at Beetham.

Anyroad its made in Preston at Williams bakers. Check it out.

I gather someone recently asked Alex Scott whether she liked parkin.

"I don't know yet" replied Auntie Beeb's latest starlet, "I'm only just startin on learnin about drivin."

LOL

My wife appreciated that Bob too, she's not a fan of Alex.

Thanks Bob, I'll have a look. Some of the stuff we've had round here has been dry as a bone.
Had a very nice cheese and onion pasty from Galloways in Haydock, but as they're a Wigan shop,it pains me to say it. They do a half decent butter pie too.

Thanks KP. With all that you're going through, you can still find time to sort me out a comic. Very Happy

Just played a game of Owzthat to pass some time. Nutters v The Baddies.

And believe it or not, Bob was bowled by Dale Vince for 36. We still managed to win by 24 runs, Cajun top scoring for us with 72.

The Baddies made a fight of it, with the Sheriff of Nottingham making a swashbuckling 76, but his team couldn't back him up.

Sluffy was our best bowler with figures of 5-40.

Next up the Cartoon Characters. We've lost twice in a row to them, with Foghorn Leghorn scoring a century in both matches.

You'll be fit to face Leghorn, Popeye and the rest I'm sure.

I once took four wickets in four consecutive balls in the same over - true story.

The third wicket was a run out - so I couldn't claim the hat trick but I bowled the new batsman with the very next ball.

I was really the opening bat rather than a bowler, but I got thrown the ball every once in a while to break a partnership - and surprisingly more often than not it did!

I really just bowled rather slowly at the stumps and either got thumped all over the pitch or got a wicket!

Happy days.
