Disabled Bogs Etiquette

I had an early meeting this morning at a hotel in Manchester.

Now I don't normally do public toilets of any kind after a nasty incident in 2004 with a homeless man, but I was desperate for a wee.

So I used the hotel toilets and when I got in there all the cubicles were in use, apart from the disabled cublicle which is obviously bigger. So I used it.

When I came out there were not one, but two wheelchair users waiting outside. What are the odds? They both abused me for being an "able-bodied bitch with no consideration for the disabled".

I told them to fuck off and stop hanging outside the bogs while I'm weeing. As far as I am concerned disabled toilets are not JUST for disabled people, they are for everyone. I've always thought this but when I got back to work my secretary suggested I'd made a major faux pas.

So who was right? Me or the wheelchair users?

If I am bursting for a pee and the toilets are full then I will not hesitate to use a disabled toilet. Either that or I widdle all over the bloody floor.

This incident you mention with the homeless man ? Don't forget, that crapper was probably his home. Peeing in his pad would offend him. You should take pity on those persons less fortunate than yourself.

I am an expert in toilet etiquette. I always sit down when I go for a leak and I always make sure that I leave the toilet in the same condition in which I found it. Nowt worse than going for a number two and finding that some dirty bastard has pebble dashed the porcelain. It's one of my pet hates.

If the mens is full then yes I would, it's a toilet at the end of the day, if there are disabled people waiting outside then obviously I would let them use it first but I don't see the harm in using them.

This reminds me of the IT Crowd episode where Roy goes into the diasabled bog and pulls the emergency chord instead of the chain by mistake then has to pretend he's disabled.

The look on Jen's face when he enters the room in his wheelchair is one of the funniest things ever.

I went to a wedding once at some posh place in South Manchester and was shagging some bridesmaid slag in the disabled toilet when this disabled guy knocked on the door and demanded to use it. I didn't know what the etiquette was so I kept banging her.

i went to a wedding once, thankfully not the same one as you, and went to the toilet only to find two people shagging. i actually apologised for interupting them!
