Renting my property to homosexuals wouldn't bother me, but then I've always been a nice person like that. Religion just slows the world down in this respect. The bible was written at a time when the vast majority of what is now reality wasn't discovered and/or understood, so it's a pretty useless teaching. Moreover, God doesn't exist.

There are thousands and thousands of works of fiction that will be relavent forever, same with art, film, photography, music, theatre.

I'm not discounting the poetic importance of the bible, I'm saying it shouldn't hold an unnecessary privilege in the public sphere, and certainly not stand as an excuse for people to practice all sorts of criminal and devient behaviour.
