Of course he does, he takes an interest in all his flock. Even you when you're stalking Tim Ream in Asda.

You've got the right to be black, just as much as i have the right to deny you entry to my establishment because you are.

of course, I'm not racist, because this is part of my religion see.

You can't say stuff like that.

You're obviously right though.

It's not the bibles fault that people commit crimes in its name.

Oddly enough, and in a roundabout way, I believe it is. Whether its the Christian Bible, Islamic Quoran, or any other book extolling religious views, they are all telling you how to live your lives. Whereas most religions are peaceful, all hold examples of violence, and harsh treatment, especially of non-believers.

Well that puts a different slant on things. Being a devout Christian he could have taken a leaf out of the Bible and followed the example of Jesus, by turning the other cheek.

I can prove that some people are born black. Can you prove that some people are born homosexual?
Go ahead, I'll wait.

Wow!!! just got in and picked up on the tail end of this debate. I reckon people have no say in their sexuality. I think it is pre-determined from the moment of conception. Most men are probably heterosexual as nature determines but a rogue gene within a small minority of the male population kicks in and alters the chromosomes.

I reckon you are born either gay or straight. It's Mother Natures way of keeping the population under control.

I saw an interview recently where a young lad was raped by his Uncle (despicable bastard!) and ended up on the streets selling his body to men. He eventually decided to change his lifestyle and used his savings to launch a career as an actor. He even got himself a girlfriend. He retains very effeminate mannerisms and breaks into tears at the drop of the hat.

1) Is he gay or straight?
2) How would you say he was born?
3) Would you say his circumstances has anything to do with his mannerisms now?

At which point in time did the word 'gay' get hijacked to define fruity sorts?

Hipster presents his arguments very well and they are difficult to refute.

"You've got the right to be black, just as much as i have the right to deny you entry to my establishment because you are.

of course, I'm not racist, because this is part of my religion see."

It's a difficult debate but logically speaking Hipster's thinking is... well logically consistent.

This.

What was it Dawkins said? Something about religion being the ultimate trump card? If you say "ahh but I believe (insert any nonsense)" we have to respect it if it's a religion - a courtesy that would not be extended to any other part of society.

It really is sad that in this day and age, with all the scientific knowledge and evidence we have people still want to persecute others because of colour, creed and sexual orientation.

You really have to wonder.

especially sad that groups of people that have historically been persecuted, and treated like animals for no other reason than their skin wasn't "the right colour", are happy to treat others with the same contempt.

look at the treatment of gays in the muslim community, desperately sad. After that Basketball player "came out" a couple of weeks ago a couple of high profile people, one a commentator, the other a top coach said that he was "living in sin" and they'd "pray" for him.

unbelievable arrogance.

the word "faggot" for example is thrown around in a similar way to the N word historically. Sad.

we can do better people.

You didn't respond to my previous post, Hipster - I'd like you to.

Further details - the fellow in question moved to England from Jamaica at 10 or 11 years old and was approached in the bathroom at his new school by a young lad who was quite attracted to him. He beat up his suitor and got expelled and some time after that, he returned to Jamaica. His uncle invited him over, sat him down to watch gay porn then brutally raped him. His family turned him out - suggesting that he "brought it on himself". He was taken in by a female prostitute who eventually told him that he had to contribute to the cost of his living arrangements. He was taught how to dress, how to behave and where to operate his business. He did this for a number of years before deciding on a new life as mentioned previously. Answer my original questions, please.

I'm sure you've got a point somewhere in here, but I must be missing it, are you trying to prove to me with this story that homosexuality is a choice.

So let me get this straight a young man, was raped by his uncle, was the subject of an attempted molestation, which he reacted to violently. He was taken in by a madam who forced him to sell his body to men.

is that the story? I'm clearly missing the point.

but yes i do agree that some severe psychological trauma could change your behaviour irreparably, in regards to almost any type of trauma sexual or otherwise.

I was merely asking you to answer the questions based on the information provided. You have not answered my questions, you only made a statement. You also seem to assume that I am black - unless I misread your earlier post. Why is this? Is it my avatar?
