Managers are fairly cheap compared to players - £150K a year against £20k a week. (for doing fuck all, generally in our case.)

Sack the useless twat now and get somebody new in who has a clue how to set a team up to play football.

Freedman thinks 4-4-2 is old skool and as a "progressive thinking" manager, he won't entertain it.

He's a one trick pony who just saw his master-plan result in us shipping 7 fucking goals.

Against an average Championship team.....

Time for change.

Problem is with Freedman he seems to have a constant supply of Get out out of Gaol Free Cards.

The Wigan game 2-0  down pulls it back to 2-2.we eventually lose, but it doesn't seem that bad.

The Boro game, 2-0 down at home, we eventually pull it back. So it doesn't seem so bad.

The Leicester game, we score three goals away from home and still lose, so it doesn't seem so bad.

One or two wins in between, maybe it's not all that bad.

Yesterday's result confirms for me it is fucking bad and has been all season, the league table doesn't lie.

So you think that the squad is good enough for the Championship then?

Seriously?

Most folk on here agree the squad is a shambles and that in still having to pay the likes of Andrews, Mears and Sordell our money is tied up until they leave - but half of us seem to think that the manager should do better despite the squad and the other half think that no manager could do better because of the squad.

Spot on... and NO ONE knows if someone could do better with this squad.  I would also add to your post the fact that when Knightmare is on the pitch, we leak goals and lose (maybe not his fault, but you can't argue with the facts).  We all agree the defense needs to be addressed asap.  BTW... Dawson has not even been on the bench for WBA this year.  One player who can quarterback the team on the pitch could be the difference.  An investment that could return us to a viable club if WBA no longer wants him with the new management.  Interesting how he turned us around at this time last season and last played on Boxing Day for WBA.  Since then he can't make the bench, and we can't seem to find a starting eleven.  Anyway, we have not had a starting eleven since CYL and Holden were hurt in preseason ages ago.  Sad commentary since!

Heard this Dawson tripe too many times. He's on the bench because he's shite and you want us to buy him so he can play one week then dropped or different position the next. Forget trying to find a starting 11 it is not DF's way. Do you know dawson does he say he would come to a club which is broke going down not up is he eager and sat by the phone waiting for fat phil to call knowing it would mean a pay cut.

All DF's talk of the loan system if he wanted a replacement for Knight there are plenty about why has he not moved before now ?

Dawson was an ever present in our back four when he was on loan to us. He galvanised our defence and made a difference. You only have to look at our results in the games that he has played for us.

Shite??????  No

RT is correct- he's not shite. He's better than any of the players we've got at the minute at centre back
But Carrs is  also correct also- why would he come to a club like ours at the minute. Potential relegation fodder, misery and depression everywhere. Everything falling to pieces
If I was Dawson and Gartside rang me up I'd tell him to piss off

He's on the bench at another club and people think he's a world beater. If anybody thinks that one player will save our world I give up and that's before we get into the midfield and the front line. Somebody has also got to deal with the long term survival of the club. It isn't going to be with Dopey Doug and the super chairman so best make a start there.

I don't think anyone thinks Dawson will save us, but he will greatly improve our shoddy defence, we must rebuild from the back.

You utter bellend. You have to start somewhere, so why not start with a player who has already proven he can make a difference to our shambles of a defence.

If you think Dawson is shit please specify a couple of names you would go for.......I'm guessing you won't reply.

spot on Boggers, we desperately need 2 full backs and maybe another centre half. Knight and Wheater are poor and i would rather see Bsptiste at centre half with Ream and Mills as back-up.

Just add another bench warmer. He's good at that where he is at the moment. This season things have gone backwards who's to say he will restore things to back when he was last here, more likely he will come down to the level we have fallen.

Baptiste is a liability.

I can't believe a defence of kids could be any worse than the current back four.

we need to see Baptiste at centre half first, thats where he played for Blackpool and always looked a good player, he isn't suited to full back no matter what that Jock McNoidea says

It's working at Palace, Whilst we know we have a shite bunch of players DF has to take some of the blame for his tactics.

surely a manager first job is to motivate and coach the players he has inherited? He has completely failed to do this and isn't up to the job.
