It's working at Palace, Whilst we know we have a shite bunch of players DF has to take some of the blame for his tactics.

Pulis seems to have turned things round and Palace could conceivably escape the drop but for every success story there are more failures. Meulensteen at Fulham, Poyet at Sunderland and Ollie at Cardiff may have to go down to the Championship and regroup.

Brian McDermott at Leeds and Nigel Adkins at Reading were well touted but are both unlikely to secure promotion.

Rosler has done well at Wigan, as has Bowyer at Blackburn but neither are likely to achieve promotion either.

It's a cut-throat business.

Freedman will get us promoted within 2 years, I'm almost sure of that.
We have to play the waiting game with him, as so usually is the case, it's getting worse before it gets better.

Like it or not he's not going anywhere at the moment, Gartside played his last card employing him and knows he can't afford another failure - financially and otherwise.

7-1 is a disgrace and as much the players fault as Dougie's I had no problem with the formation and tactics but the performance was clearly horrendous. How they react against QPR will tell us a hell of a lot.

You're not very good at this. You need to be more subtle.

He's no track record on that one though has he. The guy is lost without with a coach who knows how to run and organise the team for him.

Boggers is right though. The Wanderers board are playing the long game. We have another parachute payment to come for next season so as long as we can avoid relegation ( which we will ) there is room for improvement with a few astute buys in the transfer market.

The Wigan game 2-0  down pulls it back to 2-2.we eventually lose, but it doesn't seem that bad.

The Boro game, 2-0 down at home, we eventually pull it back. So it doesn't seem so bad.

The Leicester game, we score three goals away from home and still lose, so it doesn't seem so bad.

One or two wins in between, maybe it's not all that bad.

Yesterday's result confirms for me it is fucking bad and has been all season, the league table doesn't lie.

So you think that the squad is good enough for the Championship then?

Seriously?

I thought at beginning of the season we might be good enough for the play offs.

As the season's gone on and having watched all our home gams, listened to most of our away games on the radio.

I've come to the conclusion.

We might just be good enough to stay up.

With or without Dougies's, Help.

What evidence is there to suggest he will come good?

Unfortunately it's almost the same shit that missed the playoffs by a midge's dick last season. So something has gone badly wrong

The run we went on last season was just a delayed honeymoon period. Dougie motivated them for a while but now the players have returned to being stale and useless.

Nat's right, you're being far too blunt with all this.

It needs more subtle finesse......

Well what was that charge at the end of last season all about which led to us being favourites for promotion. Did he have a totally different squad then ?
He's a dud going down the job centre where he belongs.

Try again without grasping at straws same players same manager. If the manager can not keep heads up he goes down the road always been the case.

You can't have your cake blame OC then blame players and then as some point to finances which is it

I still think he should have blown the team up.

I mean what are we building towards? Clearly (re his comments this week) he doesn't see many of these players in his long term plans and yet they play every week.

Clearly he doesn't rate the crop of youngsters we have too highly either, some have seen duty on the bench but no more than that. Fair enough, but I'd rather be losing and learning something, than losing and while standing still, but thats just me. I do understand the pressure he's under to play "senior pro's" though.

the expectation from most is we'd be looking at playoffs minimum, i suspect the board were thinking similar, obviously speculating there.

who knows.

The biggest mistake Freedman has made is breaking up the partnership of Mills and Ream, another big mistake is ignoring the left back position, playing players out of position invarioubly means that the whole balance of the team is gone, consistently dropping players after a brilliant display will also not endear him to the fans, all in all Freedman is alienating himself not just to the fans, but also now the players, for that he has to go.

You're right about Mills and Ream he should have kept them together, our record with and without that partnership says it all.

The rest I can't agree with thought, it's speculation or just false.
