Yes although I've never been in.

It's still there isn't it? Or is it an Internet cafe now?

I think it might be a Spar shop.

It was called the Church Inn. I used to go in on Sunday night when underage and tell my mum I was going to church.
There was a folk club over behind the old fire station that was great after the Church later on Sunday nights.
Tramways was on Blackburn Rd.
I remember being in the Bowling Green on Bury Rd when one nob pulled a gun out and started messing with it on the table next to his pint. Plain clothes police came in and waited till he went to the bog then had him. Turns out he was a member of the American Civil War Society and the gun fired blanks!! ]

When I started going in Doffcocker as just a little nipper, the landlord was a Geordie bloke probably in his late 40s or early 50s. I didn't know his name but he was quite a confrontational bugger.

The guy that runs it now is very friendly, but a right Mancunian United fan so I suggest most of you stay away. It's quite expensive now, and I can only assume he's an accountant because the prices are very anal. You can't get anything for a nice round £2, £2.50 or £3, everything is £2.07, £2.46, £3.01 etc.

Annoying.

If it's the Pineapple where Moss bank Way and Blackburn Road cross- the I think it was called the Three Pigeons

What the fuck is it with Muslims buying pubs to turn in to mosques?

Before anyone says (usually hipster) that the building was for sale, that's not the point.

There are literally hundreds of potential mosques for sale all over the place, yet they ONLY go for pubs. I can name about 6 that have become mosques of late.

Its like they want to buy up all the pubs to prevent us western infidels committing 'Haram' or whatever its called.

We should tell them to fuck off and that we drink, you chose to live here, get over it!

Rant over.

They bought the church in on dean road not so long back and turned that into a little masjid.

The same people have tried to buy the stags head a little further down as well...

Its not just me is it?

There is a (genuine) conspiracy to buy pubs.

No im with you on this Rebel.

I think it's more of a ploy to take over our country as well.
