Nothing better to bind you up than Atora. It's a marvellous cure for Dysentery and diarrhoea and works far better than anything that the quack, Dr Chatterjee prescribes.

Thai red curry is not my cup of tea either TBH even after spending the best part of 20 years there.Mr Magoo wrote:I have to admit it is a la-ping, its Friday night for god sake.

I do love a good green curry or even a masaman curry which may be more suited to your taste buds.

Was in france for a couple of weeks and went into a butchers where they had Filet Mignon for 18.90 euros a kilo. Thought that's really cheap - fillet steak is almost double that in the UK. Meat looked really beautiful deep red and fresh so ordered 600g for me and the missus.
Back to the campervan and the missus knocked up a salad whilst I cooked the fillet (we like it rare as roadkill) and opened a bottle of Cahors red.
First I sauteed some onions in butter and put them aside and then cooked the meat in butter finally flambeeing it with a generous amount of brandy and resting it for a few minutes. It looked perfect and I knew it would be perfectly done.
Sliced into it and immediately realised...........it was pork FFS.
F******* pork fillet.
Never crossed my mind it wouldn't be beef but on reflection, filet mignon does mean a nice cut (mignon literally means "cute") - doesn't specify what it's a nice cut of.
Much to our surprise, pork cooked in brandy and butter was very nice - but not what we'd been expecting.
Embarrassing for a decent linguist who supposedly knows a bit about cooking.

Was something quick and easy last night, didn't feel very peckish.
You must have a couple of fishing rods to go and catch your own?

I bought 2 butter pies to eat in my lunch break but never got round to it,so I'm having them cold for tea. Will probably scoff em during the match.

Wouldn't they taste much better if your stuck them in the microwave for a minute or so?
