Boyata-----Ream--------Wheater------Ricketts
Miyaichi---Reo-Coker---Mavies--Vela---Petrov
-------------------N'Gog--------------------

Boyata looked composed early in the Spurs game and I fancy him to want to show what he can do before going home in the summer. Same with Miyaichi in showing what he can do before going home. Mavies needs a 4-5-1 formation to do what he does best and we need midfielders who pass and move and tackle, next to him - hence NRC and Vela. Petrov has a few more crosses left in the tank and needs to put them on display before the season (and his contract) ends. Big Kev is at best, an impact player now, not a starter. He gets to watch N'gog run at WBA (without getting pushed off the ball, you slight barsteward!) then if the need arises, we bring on Sordell (you hear me, Coyle?), switch to a 4-3-3 by pulling whichever midfielder sucks the most at this point so Mavies keeps his position (unless he is the one that sucks the most), and have a winger go forward along with the other two forwards then look at a KD/Klasnic late sub to potentially kill the game off.

Like your explanation. Ladies and gents this is how it should be done.

We've played 36 games with a mix of the above team and it hasn't worked. Coyle needs to re-think this.

Bogdan

Gretar Ream Wheater Knight Ricketts

Reo-Coker

Sordell Davies Klasnic Ngog

Ditch the midfield, lump it forward for Davies to flick it on for three other forwards.

Genius.

News from the grapevine is that Chungy will be playing tomorrow!!! Talk about desperate measures - he is not fully match fit yet!

No way will we see Chungy! And if we do it will be idiocy! Surely bringing him back before he is ready will just aggravate the injury like happened to Holden?

Is he back in full training? If so, then maybe he would be ok, but I didn't think he was back at full intensity.

He played in a behind closed doors game this week, according to my mole.

He did and from what I heard he played OK, but Coyle was advised that still not ready for a full Premiership match!!!

Unless NRC isn't fit then the only change I can possible see for tomorrow is Klasnic for Ngog.

I don't think Gretar is back so I can't see Boyata being dropped either.

I don't really see the point in posting fanciful teams unless it's the start of the season.

Coyle aint gonna do anything out of the blue in a crucial must win relegation decider.

He'll stick to what he knows... unfortunately.

You're right though some inane things do piss me off.

Agree with your previous post Hipster, we would all like to see a different front 2 and sordell given a chance but with things as they are, coyle can't take any risks....well he can but I don't think he has the nerve to.

I think he might aswell go with combinations that are unproven, rather than ones that are proven 80% ineffective.

I was speaking to a Boro fan the other day and even he has picked up on our problems - visiting teams know exactly what they're getting...they read our forwards like a book.

I'd die for him to pick the team in post 30 over anything involving Davies and Klasnic. That said, the most sensible option would be a 4-5-1 with Ngog.

And that just about sums our season up. At home, need 3 points to avoid relegation, and we go with a 4.5.1 forma;tion.

Wigan at home springs to mind.

Good point, but can we make it work again. (how often has it worked in the past?)
