And why's it all suddenly gone to Super 8 quality TV coverage?

(On both BBC and Sky.)

It's fucked Bruno Mars' and Beyonce's miming right up.

Bands used to play live at HT but it now appears that it's ok to mime.

Seriously...I'd rather watch the adverts.

8:18 to go in the 3rd.

Tight.

Cam don't know what to do when it's tight - he panics.

Go Broncos!

I'm realizing that I just don't understand the game as well as I thought I did. Finding it hard to follow.

That HT show was rotten. I found Coldplay the LEAST cringeworthy of the lot. Dreadful.

That would explain why you're a Bengals fan, mate.  Very Happy

As for the HT show....it used to be a proper spectacle which was worth watching in its own right, as I'm sure you already know. (Springstein, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, The Who et al.)

It's now become just another excuse to shove some band who've got a new album out in front of the adoring masses.

And tell them to mime.

And dance a bit.

And mash it up a bit with other artists from massively different genres......

Hence Coldplay, Bruno Mars and Beyonce on the same stage miming together.

Newton's looked untouchable all season.

Tonight he looks a bit Pratley.

No smugness and lobbing balls up to children in the crowd after TD's tonight.

Peyton's last game.

One of the immortals in my opinion.

Broncos defence were outstanding and created enough to have it sewn up by HT but the attack couldn't capitalise and kept the game interesting. Newton's receivers were poor but I think Denver got into his head from the off.
Good game.

Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!

Looks like Breaders had the site to himself last night.

Also, in the context of the NFL, what does 'sack' mean?

I keep reading, Boom! Sack!

What's that all about?

It's when the defensive players break through the line protecting the thrower and flatten him before he has time to throw the ball.

As the attacking team has to pass the ball back to the thrower (quarterback) from the game line to get the move started, hitting the guy before he gets rid means the attacking team are forced back a few yards.
So if it's their first play in the series of 4 they have to get 10 yds (1st and 10) and the QB is sacked, they'll lose say 5 yds so when they start their 2nd attempt they'd be 2nd and 15.

The "boom" bit is Breaders being dramatic.

As well as being dramatic, I was also being pissed.

And I am now being incredibly hung over.

And feeling sick....
