Same sex marriage.

The Scottish government are voting today on whether to allow gay and lesbian marriage in Scotland.

In this day and age it's hard to believe that this is still an issue. The Catholic church is deeply entrenched in following the bible to the letter of the law but instead of everyone getting their knickers in a twist wouldn't it be much easier to let individual vicars make up their own minds.

Those members of the clergy who don't have an issue with marrying gay or lesbian folk should be allowed to do so. Those whose conscience forbids them from marrying people of the same sex should equally have the right to abscond from such types of ' joining together'.

I just don't see what all the fuss is about. It really is no big deal. My wife and I have been having the same sex for twenty five years and to tell the truth it isn't worth getting all upset over.

I'm pretty sure it says it's a sin in the bible though...

As people know I live my life by the bible's teachings, but I fully support gay marriage.

The bible and the Koran is quite specific on this kind of behaviour. It's a no-no. One paragraph refers to them being cast out and stoned. ( I guess they smoked pot back then as well)

Sodom and Gomorrah were probably red light districts back in the day. Heaven knows what Jesus would have made of San Francisco.

Getting serious for a moment, I am religious and I do try and be a good person, but I disagree with many things the church says and does - gay marriage being one of them.

I'm happy for gays and lesbians to do as much shagging as they like. I'm pretty sure God feels the same.
