Computer security

What steps do you take to secure your computer?
I know quite a few people,mainly those using Windows 8/10 who are happy to stick with the inbuilt
Windows Defender antivirus,but I must say,it's not for me.
I'm a pretty safe surfer,and,although I used to be a bit paranoid about making sure I had the most powerful security suite,I've now found the ideal solution.

Eset Nod antivirus,backed up by Hitmanpro.Alert. Safe as houses.

God only knows what Norpig uses. Hope it's not McAfee,because it's shit.

Any other security ideas out there. Or differing views on McAfee.

Norton is good,but a bit bloated for me.

I use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware as well as the inbuilt Windows 10 software.

I had McAfee originally because it was free with the computer but I wasn't impressed with it.

Slightly changing the subject what browser are people using. I changed to Firefox a while ago because I was fed up with Chrome and have never looked back.

Chrome and Opera for me. Microsoft Edge still has issues.

Used to love Firefox,but it's fallen behind the others. All the main browsers are pretty good though.

Not so. There are plenty of fake bank sites,and malware hides in the seemingly safest of places.

Mind you,it pays not to go on a Norpig tour of the internet,for obvious reasons.

Internet security I use Comodo.

Browser I use Chrome or Firefox.

I use Safari and  Gorilla Balls ZX Plus.

Safari? Don't even use that on my mac. Never liked it.

I actually googled the other.

I have used Norton and McAfee in the past but now I use Avast. I'm told AVG is the best free one but I haven't tried it.

The best free one by far is Bitdefender free.

Sophos home is ok,and you can secure up to 10 computers. Bit heavy on the system though. But that might just be my take on it. Worth trying if you want a freebie.
