Cheers mate. She went down for surgery at 9.30 this morning, so it's just a question of waiting around at the moment.

Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!
Very sorry to hear about your mum Boncey. I hope all goes well and wish her a speedy recovery. Keep your chin up, I'm sure she'll be fine.

Thanks all. She was quite talkative yesterday. Didn't stop for three hours.
Went down to the hospital shop for a small bottle of still water and was charged £1.80. The prices are ridiculous in there.
It's more like a bloody shopping centre. Subway,gift shop,cafe,clothes shop, Costa,etc.
No bookmaker,sadly.

Its the same at my Hospital Boncey, we have an M&S food outlet Subway and Costa, they probably charge more than the usual shops as well.

Just got back from visiting, and she's already out of bed and in a chair. Enjoyed a nice tea about five, and got apple crumble with custard for afters.Norpig wrote:Its the same at my Hospital Boncey, we have an M&S food outlet Subway and Costa, they probably charge more than the usual shops as well.
She's thinking of moving in permanently!

I left my house at 0330 to drive to Bristol airport, and arrived at 0430. Got the cases out, handed the car over to the meet and greet chap.
As he drove it away, and me and the wife started pushing the cases into the terminal, it suddenly struck me !!!
I still had my slippers on
