Perhaps a year's delay will.....after initial fury from the Brexiters......afford time for tempers and wild threats to cool, so that more reasonable, civilised attitudes about the UK's future might eventually come to the fore.
Wishful thinking?
Some of the comments from ERG members are a downright disgrace and Rees-Mogg, Francois and co. risk prosecution for incitement if they push their hate-filled comments further.
The economy, security, peace in Ireland, jobs etc must not be risked for the sake of the illusory concept of "taking back control". I wouldn't want this government to be any more "in control" of our affairs, and certainly can't see them negotiating successful trade deals with the rest of the world.
It's a toss-up as to which is the more disastrous.....the management of the UK or the management of BWFC!

It's difficult to see how anyone could disagree with the statement "It's a toss-up as to which is the more disastrous.....the management of the UK or the management of BWFC!"

There won't be any "rage" you'll get 100 idiots football hooligans outside parliament for half an hour which the media will spin into some major event.
People will continue to go to work and pay tax under the threat of imprisonment.

And how many people have been imprisoned for not paying tax?

That's the threat isn't it. As I said. Otherwise no one would bother.

A completely meaningless threat when nobody is ever imprisoned for not paying tax. In fact virtually nobody is even prosecuted for tax fraud in this country unlike most other countries. Truly "only the little people pay taxes".

As mentioned elsewhere, our "justice" system isn't fit for purpose and it almost seems arbitrary who they choose to bring the weight of the law upon. It seems that wealth and political expediency make it one rule for some and another rule for others.xmiles wrote:A completely meaningless threat when nobody is ever imprisoned for not paying tax. Unfortunately the EU can't help us as although they have suggested on many occasions how we might improve things, the way that "justice" is dispensed in the country is and always has been at the discretion of those with influence.
"Taking back control" in this case seems to imply giving carte blanche to the priveleged and influential at the expense of justice itself.

So this is the EU and the gov't working together to get round the leave vote it's all a con and these delays will go on until they get what they want which is to remain in the EU which is why they keep giving us these delays.

This i hope is the end of Labour and Conservatives, local elections should be the start of it. They may think they can get away with the betrayal of the voters but i reckon they will not.

But it's taken out of my pay cheque without my consent. Can I request that it's not?

How many people have been prosecuted for tax fraud let alone imprisoned compared with the numbers prosecuted for social security fraud?

I've no idea.
I still need to know if I can stop paying tax.

You will be able to once we leave the EU - pretty sure that was one of the promises made to leave voters. Personally I can't wait for the free holidays and daily home visit massages they promised everyone.Hipster_Nebula wrote:

Shouldn't be long now. Negotiations are going really well apparently.
