Coronavirus: Countries reject Chinese-made equipment
Interesting, particular the comments from the EU's Chief diplomat.
I'll emphasise that - he's not only a diplomat (definition - a person who can deal with others in a sensitive and tactful way) but the EU's Chief one!

Trump changed his attitude when the virus affected a close friend and made it real, rather than just another political topic.Cajunboy wrote:I know many of you will be concerned about Dominic.
think the same may well happen to Cummings. Standing on the sidelines is one thing, possibly being thrown into the middle of it is another.

Increasingly it appears that mass testing is the key to flattening the curve. Yet neither the government, nor health chiefs are able to give a response as to why NHS staff aren’t being tested enough. Why is there not the availability of tests here? Yet South Korea and Germany seem to have nailed this?

It's nice to see some celebrities, Jay-Z and Rihanna amongst others i'm sure donating some of their wealth to this cause in the US.
It's a shame we have the £4 Billionaire Richard Branson asking for handouts from our government the shithouse.

Peston’s looked into Gove’s response on this. Sounds like he was bullshitting us:

I don't know why the government won't admit that whilst they were playing at trying to 'flatten the curve' countries like Germany and South Korea nipped in, bought what they needed and left the rest of the world scrabbling for what was left. Excellent foresight on the part of the Krauters and Koreans.

Two deaths in Warrington today. We're not doing badly so far with only around 70 cases of the virus, but that might change in the coming days.

Good luck mate. You have my deepest admiration, as does everyone else on the front line. It's all very well standing on the doorstep applauding our NHS heroes, why not PAY THEM ADEQUATELY!Norpig wrote:My isolation is over and i'm now back at work unfortunately. Been keeping up with work emails while i was off but the shit will hit the fan if the numbers keep rising. Already so many issues with critical care medicines being in short supply and that's now and not when it peaks!

Yes I, hope you and your wife and family stay safe.
I guess you and your wife have still not been tested.

My Chemo has been suspended for four weeks, which I'm sure will be extended to 8 weeks or 12 weeks or God knows when.
It's not great.
