DAVID Ngog’s advisors have denied that the Frenchman is on the verge of signing for Dynamo Kiev, but rumours of his exit refused to die down last night.

Bruno Satin, one of two agents acting on the 23-year-old’s behalf, claims that the Wanderers front man is not seeking to sign for the Ukrainian giants and that he is happy to remain at the Reebok.

But separate sources have confirmed that Kiev have been given the green-light to speak with the striker with a view to hurrying through a £4million transfer before the close of the window, which closes in Ukraine in a week’s time.

If they are to finalise a deal, then negotiations would need to be completed in the next couple of days in order to secure a working visa.

But while his co-agent Satin admitted that his client came close to signing on loan for Fulham last month, he vehemently denied reports that he was set to quit English football for good.

“David has no wish to leave Bolton,” he told The Bolton News. “He has a good relationship with the new manager and with the president, Mr Gartside, and anyone who knows David also knows he is a gentle person who does not cause trouble. He is not seeking to leave the club.

“It is true that Bolton’s league position is disappointing but I think he is working hard to try and help improve that. “There was some interest in him during the last transfer window but it did not come to anything and he is now concentrating on playing for Bolton.

“He is happy and such a move to Ukraine would not interest him at this time.”

Ngog returned to Dougie Freedman’s starting line-up on Tuesday night for the 1-1 draw at Derby County – his first start in six games.

He has made 22 appearances this season, scoring five goals, but has failed to hold down a regular starting place despite a succession of encouraging displays from the bench.

Though he has shown some improvement since Freedman’s arrival, Ngog has struggled to substantiate the £4m fee Owen Coyle paid to Liverpool to make him his most expensive signing at the club.

Ngog’s first season was littered with niggling injuries and resulted in just three goals to show from his 33 appearances.

The former Paris St Germain youth product could be tempted by the lure of European football, with Kiev still competing in the Europa League. They will be in action against Bordeaux tonight in France.

I think he's on his way and for 4 million i'd book the flight for him myself. He's never going to get better IMO and will never be the main striker we need to fire us out of this league.

I wonder if we could use that money to bring in another loan striker to fill the gap until the end of the season.

When does the loan window shut?

If he does go we'd have to bring in a striker on loan.

Eaves might get a place on the bench if Ngog goes.

I think the window shuts at the end of this month doesn't it?

The other tweeters had the same thought Aaron - this is how the tweets continued -

Q - if ngog does leave, do we have any targets in the loan market?

Nixon - You've got strikers coming out of your ears. Money would be useful though.

Q - but we dont score enough goals in my opinion and I would think it takes the pressure off selling other players in the summer

Nixon - You've scored as many as Hull who are second top.

End of tweets.

Who are these strikers he talks. Strikers score goals. Davies is more of a cf kevin that is. So that leaves cavies and sordell. An injury to one of those while eaves is out on loan and we are up shit creek

Whilst £4m is not a great deal of money, if Dougie is given most of it I am reasonably confident that he can spend it more wisely than Coyle ever did. His record at Palace shows that he does spot and develop talent - look at their continuing success after he left.

And as for SKD - we need to move on.
Spot on!

Great if this is happening. I have faith that Dougie would bring in the right player for us on loan if this goes ahead, plus we'd have some more cash in the summer to spend.
