Fair enough guys but it does get annoying trying to find the relevant discussion among all the 'i hate you' and 'i'm better than you' spats that seem to go on. It's like an internet version of a nursery school playground but with language that would make a sailor blush chucked in. I'm a bit fed up with it today so felt I had to say something about it. You may well be right Natasha but does there really have to be so much of it? Banter is great, I love it myself but when it descends into personal comments it spoils the purpose of the forum don't you think? I am aware that I did it myself a little while back but when I re-read my posts later I realised what a plonker I was being. 

I'm not saying there should never be disagreements but when they're basically descending into 'get lost' answered by 'no you get lost' or words to that effect it's just silly. Anyway, like I said I've just got a bit fed up with it over the last few days and decided I wanted to say something about it. I don't suppose it will change anything but I'm hoping it might just make people think a little before they post and maybe we can talk more about the football and less about how we dislike people we've most likely never even met and never will.

Bolton Banter was a great forum a number of years back but the owner of the site let the power go to his head and he banned anyone he didn't like - which included Natasha and myself.

Basically most decent people jumped ship shortly afterwards and only the die hards have been left on there ever since.

I guess they average about 20 POSTS posts per DAY.

I actually floated an idea of mereging their forum and ours a while back, for the benefit of what few regular posters they had left to join in with a larger number of fellow whites - but the owner basically told us he rather shut his site down and his members fend for themselves, rather than have anything to do with me!

He's such a nice bloke, not bitter and twisted at all!

Is his surname "Gartside" by any chance, Sluff....?
