If I was the manager of a club with only one fit striker, I'd be scouring the world for anybody with a record better than two in twenty-odd like this fella.

I wouldn't be gambling what sparse resources I had at my disposal on a player who had already proved to be basically ineffective in the division my team was playing in.

This looks like a very strange / desperate / clueless move in my book.

It's certainly a desperate move, but that's the reality of our situation. Danns, McNaughton and Feeney were all similarly desperate but all worked out okay.

Either Dougie's seen something in him or he's a complete dud or he's just here to offer competition/cover to Craig Davies whilst Beckford's out. I don't think it's necessarily a dreadful move.

Can he play left back?

I think playing Odelusi or one of the other upcoming strikers or playing with an extra attacking midfielder instead of a striker would be less desperate than this.

I'm far from Dougie's biggest fan but I do like how often he has gone out and brought in players on loan who nobody thought would be much chop, and they end up proving very useful. 

It's just sad that despite all the quality he's brought in, we're as far away from where we want to be as ever.

Oh Lord, well, he's here and with Jackson in as well I can't say I'm brimming with confidence but I hope my streak of being wrong continues and they both play brilliantly. Anyway, boggers won the bet so I'll be off the site all next week from this coming Saturday to Friday the 8th.

Just scoured BEN, SSN and club website. None of them say Jutkiewicz is our player yet only we're in talks. Boggers where did you hear it's a done deal mate? Also no mention anywhere of Simeon Jackson that I can see so where did you hear that one Nat?
