Very well thanks, Pete.
I remember you going to that wedding and then telling us all on 606 how you'd met someone obviously special and your life instantly changed.
Good on ya, mate.
Glad it's all good.

OK - Here's a stat to hopefully give the guy a chance:
John McGinlay's record at Bollton was 87 goals in 192 games
Before he came to Bolton it was as follows:
1991-92 : Millwall - 3 goals in 18 games
1991 : Millwall (On Loan) - 10 goals in 34 games
1989-90 : Shrewsbury - 9 goals in 25 games

Yeah we were playing the plastic wanderers in the prem and I actually had a ticket but my brother had to go and get hitched didn't he?Breadman wrote:Very well thanks, Pete.

I got introduced to Wendy by my younger sister with the words "Pete this is Wendy, keep her company for me while I go grab my monsters (meaning my nieces) and I'll be back in a minute." Wendy and I were still buried in conversation five hours later and I haven't looked back. I'm pretty sure my little sis had that in mind but you know what, just this once I forgive her.

Millwall 13 in 52 (totals) = 1 in 4 (not bad at all)
Jutkiewicz has NEVER bettered 1 in 4 and currently (ie this season) is 1 in 12! I hope he does better for us, in fact I hope he does brilliantly but I can't see it. His best record is in Scotland, not exactly a place known for brilliant football or superb defences that are hard to get past. I know I sound cynical but I really find it hard to see this guy being a Super John, at least when SJM joined us he was still in fairly decent form from his last club.

That's one in three.
This fella's record is one in ten.
And I don't mean he's got a UB40 single in his collection.....
(Apologies to the younger contributors who haven't got a clue what I'm on about.)
And yes, we DO need a left back as a priority.

We need more than that mate. We need a strong centre midfielder, we need the rest of them to remember how to keep and pass the ball and we need Dougie to use a bit of tactical nous to see his "plan" ain't working before we hit League One. LB is only one of a myriad of problems, I agree it's a big one but it's not going to do us much good to solve it and leave the rest.Sluffy wrote:He could always play left back.

Peterpiper - I suggest that you have another look at the OneBoro forum (I tried finding the Burnley related stuff but I couldn't).
You aren't going to get a 'prolific' goalscorer as a loan in January. It doesn't happen and it will never happen, you have to buy them sorts.
You can however loan young Premier League club players and out of contract/out of favour Championship forwards that 'may' have potential to become 'prolific' goalscorers.
Boro have had a great run of results lately and Jutkiewicz started the game at Leicester at the weekend.

OK mate will do. By the way, I've scoured SSN, the BEN website AND BBC Sport as well as the official club site and still can't find confirmation this guy HAS actually signed for us.Copper Dragon wrote:Peterpiper - I suggest that you have another look at the OneBoro forum (I tried finding the Burnley related stuff but I couldn't).

He's not signed as yet, according to SSN, BWFC and Boro websites talks are 'ongoing' but not complete. As to Simeon Jackson I can't find even a hint of us being in for him, his name isn't linked with us on any source I can find.

Normally I would but she wasn't the only one. It popped up on JA606 as well. I'm beginning to wonder if someone from our club's press office leaked it out anonymously just to see what the reaction would be. I dunno what's going on with this window at all. Ngog has definitely gone but Boggers thinks Jutkiewicz is in tomorrow night's BWFC squad yet I can't find any confirmation from anywhere that says he's a BWFC player of any description as yet. Even the BEN isn't claiming it's done so how the hell can he be classed as our player on here? Does someone know where I can find some official confirmation he's actually joined us? The OneBoro forum has nothing on him I could find except being mentioned as one of a long list of players they might offload.Copper Dragon wrote:luckyPeterpiper wrote: As to Simeon Jackson I can't find even a hint of us being in for him, his name isn't linked with us on any source I can find.

Lukas Jutkiewicz Record:
2013-14 Middlesbrough - 2 goals in 21 appearances (1 goal in every 10.5 games) *started 12 league games
2012-13 Middlesbrough - 3 goals in 21 appearances (1 goal in every 7 games)
2011-12 Middlesbrough - 10 goals in 26 appearances (1 goal in every 2.6 games)
2011-12 Coventry - 9 goals in 26 appearances (1 goal in every 2.89 games)
2010-11 Coventry - 9 goals in 43 appearances (1 goal in every 4.78 games)
2009-10 Motherwell - 12 goals in 36 appearances (1 in every 3 games)
It appears he has lost his confidence and a change of scenery can work wonders...He might turn out to be shite but I'll give him a chance before I write him off.

Talks have reportedly been ongoing since 12:12 pm today but there's been no word as to anything else since from either club, the BEN, SSN or the BBC.
