Just laughing at the post about Juke this post slagged him as he had a poor goals to games Ratio.Now he can't get any praise for scoring 3 in 4 cos it isn't enough matches.While I agree 4 matches is still early but it's not just his goals it's his hold up play strength so far.I guess the lad just can't win.If he had not scored he would have been pilloried from post to post.

White I think that's unfair. No one is saying he isn't doing very well, just that it's still too early to say he's going to be amazing for the rest of the season. Be honest here, when you read he was coming and saw his stats for the last year or so did you not think it was a daft idea to send Cravies out to bring this guy in? I did, I still do. Jutkiewicz has scored three in four, great. Superb in fact. 

BUT he's not our player and he's under contract with Boro till 2017. If we want to make long term progress Dougie has to get the best out of the players we OWN, not just bring in some loan guys who do well for a few weeks then disappear again. 

This smacks of deja vu to me, we had a good late season run last term largely brought on by loan players and now we might be about to do it again with Juke Mason and Danns, all of whom we lose in May. DF needs to start getting OUR players to perform to their very best week in week out rather than paper over his own inability to motivate in the long term by bringing in loans from all over the shop.

I'm really impressed with Juke but that he's scored three in four doesn't necessarily mean anything. A lot of players can average a goal a game for a few weeks, then go months without scoring one. 

Even Kevin Davies had a little run last season where he scored a quite a few.

Hipster, surely you're not saying there hasn't been plenty of reason to moan this season are you? 

I appreciate you and I disagree on both Dougie and on the whole loan players thing but if we want progress then we have GOT to start getting our OWN players to perform to the best of their abilities on a sustained basis. I know, repeating myself. But it's still true that Dougie has failed in that regard.
