This just gets weirder by the minute and I've given up trying to fathom it out.

I honestly don't give a shit anymore.

They can do what they want for me now - sod it.

I can only assume that this piece of land has planning permission which was going to be used for part of that free school Eddie wanted before?

That's being banned in Bolton now according to the BEN so it can't be that.

True, no doubt Bolton council will take the usual backhander as well for fracking to commence there if that was the case!

Nixon tweeted " far East group includes someone with past Prem experience, but need to act fast, deal to become a lot easier" Hmmmm, the plot thickens.

He'd sort our ponces out:

"You score many goal or get shot in head. Go play now. Ricky Tick!!"

Nixon says car park will fetch £20 million of which 6.5 million goes to guy who owns the bit they had to buy first, 3 million Tax/Vat,  2 million wages, 3 million to ED and 5 million to Brett Warby (the last two paying off recent loans) leaving half a million which will probably go on expenses/legal/tax on doing the car park deal.

Oops - too slow typing...

what happened to Saint Eddie not wanting more than a pound back then?

Not sure if that ED getting £3 mill back is true of course, but I understood he wanted a £ for his shares. Loans are different but seeing as he agreed to wipe off £180 million of loans, perhaps this is a more recent loan.

more smoke and mirrors again  Rolling Eyes. Whichever way anyone dresses this up Saint Eddie is not the well meaning benefactor he thinks he is, the club is his even if its hidden behind a million off shore companies so why should he get back his £3 million? How can it be a loan if its his club?

So tired of all this now, the club need to realise they are in real danger of alienating the fans even more than they have already.

And as for Saint Eddie, if they ever think of naming a stand after him or build a statue, i'm out for good

It's not dodgy Norpig. It's entirely normal and legal to lend money to the club. BWFC isn't ED's club - it's owned by the shareholders and it just happens that he's the majority shareholder - but it's not entirely his. BWFC is a legal entity in it's own right. So if ED or Warby or a bank or me or you want to lend money to the club - we can.

It's just that ED happens to have millions to lend as is willing (unlike the bank or me) not to charge any interest on the loan.

Nixon seems to have been really out of the loop on this story, how many times has he said rubbish like this over the last few months.

Nothing majorly new in there but it does sort of agree with a couple of things I've been banging on about for years:

Eddie D is just a puppet for whoever's really running the Moonshift show and a lot of this £180 million "debt" doesn't actually exist -

"Player success fees" paid to Moonshift by the club.....?

The bit about handing 2009's Sky money over to Moonshift in its entirety came as news to me though - sort of answers the question: "Where did all the TV money go?"

"Routed circuitously through several numbered bank accounts and then finally deposited safely in a hole in someone's back garden in the British Virgin Islands" would appear to be the answer.

And the bit about Fildraw at the end is quite interesting.

According to Iles Moonshift / Fildraw are all ED's investment companies and it's his money. He doesn't live in Isle of Man for nothing. House he lives in, is in Fildraw House in Fildraw lane. HMRC want to sting him for tax, but they can't so do it through BWFC.

Eddie D runs the Moonshift show and the Fildraw Investments. No mystery

When UK buys 7.5 million kettles a year in the UK alone and you get £1 for each one sold because you hold the copyright for the thermostat in the kettle, then you're on a winner. Multiply that throughout the world.

as you can tell i don't have a head for business but it just seems wrong to have the club hidden behind so many layers of companies, it just seems so dodgy to my befuddled brain  scratch

It's similar to what I was trying to explain about Fildraw/Moonshift/ BWFC thing although that's about tax efficiency. To most folk it looks well dodgy but basically if it's legal and it costs less then people are going to do it.
If you think about a business/legal entity as an object (let's say a race horse) it can have lots of owners, each owning a bit (shares) To protect everybody's interests when one of the owners wants to leave, the law says that he can't just cut off one of it's legs and piss off with that - he has to sell his shares to someone else.
Now Mr. ED owns nearly all the shares in BWFC and that's what he's selling.
Unfortunately the race horse has to eat and needs stables and transport to and from races so it's expensive to run (although the idea is it will win more in prize money than it costs to feed etc)
Mr. ED and the other owners don't want the horse to starve to death but it hasn't won any races for years and there's no money left to feed it. So he's lending money to feed it in the hope that he will get paid back when the horse finally wins.

Well it hasn't won yet but they're selling off half the stable block to keep the oats coming in - and pay back Mr. EDs loan.

All above board.

Just out of the transfer window, still hopefully there'll be cash for loans, we are staying up!
