I don't know if you've ever tried to rent in London but as a recent grad I make enough to look after myself, the option of taking in an extra family on the sofa would not only break the contract I have with the shit house estate agents ripping me off it would also put an added strain on my limited finances - not to mention the UK government has blocked this from being possible anyway (3rd time I've told you).
I've donated clothes and money to local causes for the refugees in Calais as well as going to protests and marches to try and show this government they need to do more. That's about all I can do at this point.
