I think we need to judge the Tory government later in it's tenure - there's no opportunity to change it now anyway and it's likely Boris will resign spring or summer next year - possibly for Sunak to take over whereafter the suffering will be explained away in economic terms. Brexit will get washed away as the effects of covid which will remain something beyond the government's control.

Sorry if this has already been posted but as an example of how corrupt and dishonest Boris and his chums are this is says it all:
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2020/oct/18/john-sentamu-peerage-snub-criticised-as-institutional-prejudice
Despite precedent Sentamu wasn't made a peer because of the need "to keep numbers in the House of Lords down". However there is plenty of room for talents like Botham, Claire Fox and Boris' brother.

Later in it's tenure they have been in 10 YEARS, it's not pass the parcel on to the next Tory in line.wanderlust wrote:I think we need to judge the Tory government later in it's tenure - there's no opportunity to change it now anyway and it's likely Boris will resign spring or summer next year - possibly for Sunak to take over whereafter the suffering will be explained away in economic terms. She was on the Emma Barnett show, despite resigning she agreed with everything the government was doing, even Emma was scratching her head.okocha wrote:Well, here's one MP prepared to do the right thing..... which is all I ever hope for and expect.

Unbelievable!
Now if Emma Barnett was in the Cabinet, we might be getting somewhere! Just what we need.

Hi okocha. I've read your pm but I am not allowed to pm you (or anybody else). I don't know why Sluffy has stopped me doing this and whether it is permanent or not.

Good to see you posting again, xm. You have lots of support on here. No one thinks you're fake or a troll. I don't know what the answer is, because Sluffy is adamant on both fronts. I've found that if I ask a direct question, it doesn't necessarily get a response.xmiles wrote:

Issues with Wander, TROY, Ten Bob etc make me feel that being able to judge character accurately and instinctively is a vital skill. It'll all be in my novel!!

If she doesn't do what she has promised, i'm going to punch her in the face!
She's fake like every other politician. It's about time we had a real change including the rules of the whole thing.
They are all a bunch of cunts and that includes Labour BTW.

As the government looks at reducing the quarantine period to seven days regardless of the
lack of scientific evidence, according to the Sunday Times they are going to exempt "City dealmakers, hedge fund managers and company bosses" from any quarantine measures at all as part of their fantasy of "promoting global Britain".
Yet another example of one law for them and one for everybody else

Matt Hancock has said there may be a U-turn on the extra hour gained by turning the clocks back this weekend. He has hinted they may go forward two hours on wednesday to take the hour back with an extra hour taken as a time tax. Though he has said that they will then be put back an hour again next weekend and then put forward two hours again the following week, and so on until further notice.
