Good evening Brother Dar, I trust you are home with your parents over the festive period. May I take this opportunity to thank you for your efforts so far and wish you all the best for 2013. I have heard nothing from Mr Poltroon so I will try and chase him up in the morning.

I have been suffering terribly with jet lag since I got back from Hanoi. Father Abraham was a wonderful man. I was toying with the idea of tapping him up for some sponsorship but he is totally dedicated to the CLA plus he is heavily involved with the Smurfit organisation.

Ting Tong has decided to stay over for a couple of weeks and help the good father with some extra mural activities.

I am working on a new sponsor for January so once I get the thumbs up I will report further.

Photo enclosed of our meeting with Father Abraham.

Brother Dar, I have been struggling to get hold of Mr Poltroon. I am not exactly sure if they have the internet in Donegal. I know he said he was visiting the Opera House in Ballyskillen on Boxing day but his mobile phone is not taking calls so I have had to leave messages on his voicemail. He is probably still busy selling the flags at the market.

Happy New Year Brother Dar, Still no word from Mr Poltroon. They had severe weather in Donegal during the festive period with a Force 10 gale coming in from Navarone. It took out most of the telegraph poles on the Gower Peninsula as well.

Also, Reuters reported that there was a riotous assembly at the Christmas market in Donegal and the local Garda Siochana were forced to employ their Shillelagh's to restore order.

I'll be in touch as soon as I hear from Mr Poltroon.

Brother Dar, I am pleased to report some excellent news. I managed to get hold of Mr Poltroon. He was hospitalised between Christmas and New Year in Donegal Royal Infirmary with a fractured skull.

From what he told me it would appear that some of the other stall holders took umbrage at his entrepeneurial activities and threatened to burn his wares. A fight started and the Police arrived to restore the peace. The last thing Mr Poltroon remembers is waking up in hospital with a crowd of doctors and nurses gathered round him.

Anyway, alls well that ends well and he informs me that he has deposited your wages and you are good to go. He has also kindly supplied me with the name of another sponsor, a Mr Herman Gelmet, who is also a Wanderers fan. I have been in contact with Mr Gelmet and I am meeting with him for a meal in Harvesters before tomorrows game against Sunderland.

I will report back tomorrow night, hopefully with the good news that Mr Gelmet will sponsor you for January.

Good news on the sponsor front. I met with Mr Gelmet in Harvesters before our game against Sunderland and while we ate our Chicken Vindaloo I told Mr Gelmet about Brother Dar and his scouting activities.

Mr Gelmet was born in Barking, near Bolton and has been a Wanderer all his life. He currently runs a halfway house drop-inn centre in Lanerfil, Welsh Wales, for failed asylum seekers.

A passionate humanitarian, Mr Gelmet has offered to sponsor Brother Dar for 4 tantalising reports in January.

Report 1 january

Back on my Scouting job for the first month in the year, i went to the lagos national stadium as usual to hunt for uncommon talents in the game. Since it was still early in the year, it was understandable for the low turnout of boys to play their usual Saturday footie. However, i still came about different groups and bypassed few more before i got to a particular destination where some buys were pulling out the pride of soccer. They all played very well, but it was the performance of a boy named Wale Dada that caught my eye. It was a lil difficult in figuring if he was playing as a striker or a midfielder, but i surely would suggest he played behind strikers because of his skills in getting hold of the ball and distributing to his teammates. The only weakness i saw in him was his tackling, but i bet that can always be worked on as it isn’t really a requirement for a forward nowadays.

Report 2

My next visit to the stadium was like 5 days after my last, i took quite enough time to ensure i was not gonna arrive at the stadium to find few boys hitting the round leather stuff again. On getting there this time, i found enough groups of boys on the stadium, as usual, i took my time to study a particular group, they were looking strong and more agile than those ones in my last report. One of the boys playing was Ajani, a player i have one spotted during my scouting stint in lagos. He was playing so well today, wearing a Chelsea jersey, and he did enough to make one feel like he was watching a young lampard play. At the end of the day, he had helped his team win 3 different sets, playing offensively from the midfield and aiding his team with oppressing set ups.

Report 3

Leave the Ball to Louis and all is well

A caption from today’s event when i ran into a match involving two different streets, a friend had tipped me about the match two nights ago and i made reservations to make sure i didn’t miss out in the rare show. Got me a seat as soon as possible and after spending some time, it wasn’t too hard to notice a guy in dreads lining for one of the team. I laughed in my toughts saying the only time u’ll see a guy with dreads play gud football is when u watch em on the tv. He Louis was there to prove me wrong as my jaw was kept opened with his displays on pitch. He was so energized with the ball, had many shots on target and never seemed like being held back. The funny thing about him was that he started from the back and still finds it easy to press in and still cover for his team.

Report 4

Got back to the stadium again in anticipation of another street match, this time it was a quarter final, just like the last one, i had miss two of it and had to make sure i made the last one. This actually seemed bigger than the last one i was at. Both team gave themselves a tough time and never looked like one was going to make things easy for the other. Series of tackles, dribbles, crossings and a regular tormenting of the two goal keepers. I was able to figure out two good players. One of them is Rabiu, a defender who played a great role in making sure his team doesn’t concede, but at last got one in. The other was Tajudeen, a well built striker ushering series of attacking moves against his opponents. He is also to be admired for his quickness an accuracy. Both played against each other .

Report 5

Waiting for the rest of the ongoing tournament to commence, i went to an organised friendly match. This time around , it was a school to school friendly. It took time before the two teams could get started for the game, and even after they started , they were sluggish on play. Later on the match changed tempo as it seemed like some individuals in the team were just getting back to there form. Akin one of the players i have once spotted here was part of the team, and to me was the main performer in the whole game. Arguably, he could be termed as a midfielder, Moving from back to the middle and then to the front without wasting too much time as he always come back to fill the void he left. However, his efforts was rewarded with a goal.

Brother Dar, I have forwarded your contributions to Mr Gelmet. He has queried report no 5 ? Youtube have pulled the plug on the footage. Is it possible that Akin is already contracted to another team?

When Mr Gelmet was holidaying in South Africa he seems to recall the name Akin being mentioned as being contracted to Morocco Swallows.

Brother Dar, Mr Gelmet was thoroughly impressed with the quality and content of your reports. He was particularly taken with Louis in report 3. He said his dreadlocks reminded him of Mustafa ' The Bullet ' Riga who used to play for Wanderers.

He is just a bit concerned that Louis may be a Rasfatarian ? Mr Gelmet will have no truck with weed smokers even though he is a big fan of the music of Bob Marley and the Wailers.

Expect payment in full over the next few days.

P.S. Any reason why Youtube have banned your last report ? Is there a copyright issue ? The surroundings of your national stadium are very similar to Wembley apart from the fact that we are plagued by hot dog sellers.

Brother Dar, Just to let you know. Mr Gelmet has been visiting Mali as part of his BNP Programme.( Bringing Nations Prosperity ) He is a diplomatic envoy to the Court of St James and because there has been a spot of bother over there he was asked to visit with the countries leaders to see if he could broker a deal with the pesky dervishes. Fortunately, the French President has intervened and things are back to normal.

Mr Gelmet flies home to Blighty tonight and he assures me that your wages will be deposited tomorrow. I have also managed to secure a new sponsor for February but before I introduce him we need to ponder some strange developments on the scouting front.

We have been contacted at Bolton Nuts by a Bishop calling himself Father John. He claims to be a scout and is looking for talented ( but witless ) individuals to take part in soccer trials at an, as yet, undisclosed location.

One or two sceptics think that you may be involved in this practice. The good father is asking for £495 cash upfront plus bank details and I know that is not your modus operandi.

Could you take a look at his post and give us your observations before we proceed further?
