November Report

Report 1

You should remember Maruf from my last report, Oh yes the guy who played on the wings and was very impressive. On another Saturday, while I was going about the stadia premises, looking for boys playing excitingly, I noticed him again, and I concluded that it was going to be a better decision if I just follow up on an old project. I took my time and stood there watching him as he blazed around with the ball. Apart from his ability to play on the wings, he is also good whenever moving, with speed which makes it hard for his opponents to track him. He scored in 2 different games for his set. I waited around hoping to have a chat with him, but unfortunately he had other plans, as his babe was up at the pitch to accompany him when he was done.

Check out d guy in a full black jersey with white stripe…. https://youtu.be/GmrO89dVLL8

Report 2

Witnessing an interesting encounter there at the stadium, two team from two different streets coming head to head to show off their skills and prove how superior they are. It was actually in a competition organised by the chairman of the local government for street youths to come show off and if possible raise a team to rep the area in coming competitions. The outstanding player in today’s match was none other than Afonja who was in a red jersey and a black long short. Look at the way he dominates the midfield, and rendering passes to enable movement in attacking. However, I would not want to quickly forget the fact that the rest of the footballers were also sploofic when it came to direct play.

Report 3

Still at the group stages of the local competition, with every team putting their possible best to see themself prevail and win a whooping sum of #500,000. The next match I had the opportunity to view was on a Friday evening, the streets must be from a far region, because none of the boys fielded wield a familiar face. It was not as interesting as the last match, however I was still able to pick out an outstanding performer. The name might be ringing a bad bell in the head of many Nigerians as he bears d same name with a well despised DICTATOR who once ruled Nigeria. His name is Ibrahim Abacha, he held the upfront position for his team and made a huge impact in helping them win with a 4-2 lead. The other team however fielded too many dull players, and must be the main contributor to their loss.

Report 4

And the competition continues as I was in the stadium to watch another street clash, right now it was just a match away from the second round, so it had a lot of the teams playing to their best to get the required points to qualify. As usual, I took my sit and watch the involved teams of today play together, it was a cool game, not one which much surprises as both teams have already qualified, and were fielding their fringe player to get a fill of their capabilities. The game had both teams trying to exhibit skills which they wouldn’t in a normal match. This made it uninteresting with few to mark out.

Video: https://youtu.be/3GrKf8LPuqU

Report 5

The group games are done and the boys in each street are preparing for the next round which is scheduled to come up in about 3 weeks’ time, Up unto my Job, I was on the stadium premises again looking for talents. I came across a particular group, preparing together and clearing out their errors in previous matches, it was then I came across Bruno Smith who apart from looking like a baller was also with the muscle of a boxer. He is the guy in green shorts with no top on. He played as a defensive midfielder, and showed good composure in is movements.

Video: https://youtu.be/3-_GQKqlhi4

Report 6

Another training preparation match was on the role today, the street footballers, preparing to play the other streets. They had to do a brief fitness training and then go ahead to play a 4 aside game to test their skills. It was a good training session with Olabode tipped to be the better of the available players. He is a utility player, but I think he is stronger and a threat when used as a midfielder. He showed with his moves that football is not all about energy burning, but technical skills and ability to reason along with your team-mates

Brilliant stuff once again Brother Dar. When you are out and about on the prowl just have your wits about you. We don't want any youngster marking you down as a brown hatter. Perhaps you should wear your Wanderers shirt and beret to help you blend in?

Never have a handkerchief hanging from your back pocket while you are filming because in some customs it's seen as a come on that you are available.

I have just phoned Mr Frobisher and he informed me that he is currently on holiday at Maplins Holiday camp in Rotherham and he is not due to return home until Thursday. I have told him about your reports and he is happy to stump up for all six reports on his return. I'll let you know the exact payment details on Thursday when he contacts me again.

Once again, another excellent monthly round up. Mind how you go. Dib Dib.

For December we have a former Bolton Nuts poster who has stepped into the breach to fill the gap and sponsor Brother Dar for five tantalising reports.

Step forward Michael Bolton! Up until a few short months ago Michael worked in a dreary dead end job flipping burgers at Burger King. Helping himself to the free company meal policy had an adverse effect on Michael's metabolism and having worked for the fast food joint since leaving school with no qualifications at sixteen he started to put on weight at an alarming rate. His increase in weight coincided with his inability to attract women and as a result he spent most evenings after work in his bedsit in Daubhill trawling the BWFC forums whilst comfort eating to placate his anxieties. Michael tried a number of internet dating sites but describing himself as ' big boned ' always failed the litmus test when it came to a personal meeting because 21 stone could be classed as obese in certain quarters.
In September Michael's life took a turn for the better when he won £1.2 million on the Health Lottery. As soon as the cheque was banked he headed for Las Vegas to live the good life. On his first night in Vegas his eyes met a Casino waitress called Candy and after he told her of his good fortune it was love at first sight. They are currently engaged to be married on New Years day in the famous Las Vegas wedding chapel ( subject to funds still being available )

Michael has kindly sent me a photo of his good self with Candy and I wish them a long and happy marriage. Credit to Michael for stepping up to the plate to sponsor Brother Dar and I think I speak on behalf of all Bolton Nuts posters who enjoyed Michaels posts to wish him all the best for the future.

December Reports

Report 1

Back to the stadium this time, with so much enthusiastic footballers trying to play their role for their teams. It was an interesting story as different boys are now back form where ever they are into the town. There were enough guys out there either just practicing or playing in a football set. I took my time, went round and then settled to watch a particular set of boys. This was like a training session but they must have finished the fitness part and now into sets, trying different members of their team. I watched and analysed carefully, moments later I was able to notice Moyeni, who was playing from the back as a deep defender, he did well performing his duties and was an obstruction to oppositions advancing whenever the game was on. Check Moyeni at the left side of the pitch with a yellow top and dark pants.

Report 2
As the competition continues after the knockout stages had been declared to start few days ago, I was in the stadium premises and got really caught up with a very interesting match. The game which later ended with the scoreline 1-1 wasn’t something that would reflect how interesting it was. Both teams must have started the game having in mind they have to be the one to progress. The football was not to get any rest as they keep moving it from end to end. A top performer was Yussuf, he was so energetic and versatile throughout the game. This was evident as he did not play a single role upfront, and was switching positions to put in a better performance for his team. He later scored the winning penalty kick to take his team forward in the competition.
Videao: https://youtu.be/_T15V1HoCm0

Report 3
Tijani! Tijani! , That was the most called name in today’s game at the stadium, the boy has got so many skill up his sleeves and wasn’t shy to show them. He is always confident with the ball and whenever he moves, he can displace his opponent, hence the reason why all his teammates were calling onto him to pass the ball to them, and even the opposition calling on him to be properly marked. He played well in a position of a winger, and even had no problems moving into the middle of the pitch. Watch Tijani in an all white jersey with green cape on it.
Video: https://youtu.be/NQSw26eDS9s

Report 4

As fast as it could, this time it was getting closer to the end of the local competition, as the planners wants it to end before Christmas. This was the last quarter final match, and was changed to cover this, even though I missed the rest due to my busy schedule. My cliché, ‘I sat down well to observe the teams playing’ , it was an interesting bit, but a little one sided as one of the teams kept mounting pressure on the other one before it eventually cracked. Bamidele Fali was the architect in this, a mid fielder who rarely goes in too deep into the opposition side, but is the best in his work to pick out his men from where he is and produce the final pass for them to finish off. Thanks to him, the game ended 4 – 1 with his team winning after he made available 3 assists with many more wasted at times.
Video : https://youtu.be/9qP87cXpdnM
Report 5
I made my way into the national stadium on a Sunday evening again, many of the boys were preparing for the semifinals of the ongoing competition, and I was lucky to find one of the teams still competing. On getting there, I saw Bamidele and his team mates who had turn out to be favorites to win the competition after trashing their last opponents to a 4 goals treatment. I monitored them as they trained together and all were doing well with Bamidele showing how good he is again on the field of play, They seemed to have pulled many crowd around them as I was not the only one watching when they played on in training.

Excellent work Brother Dar. I have fired off a missive to Michael Bolton and he has replied that he will pop down to the post office tomorrow to sort out your wages. He told me he will only deal in US Dollars as Nigerian Naira are pretty thin on the ground in Vegas.

On a lighter note I am pleased to report that Michael has enrolled himself in daily Zumba classes and he now weighs only 294 lbs.

Slight delay regarding your wages Brother Dar. Michael has e-mailed me to report that he couldn't find a post office that uses Moneygram today and he had already booked an appointment to go kayaking on the Hoover Dam and will not be home until tomorrow. He will find a Western Union office as soon as he gets back from his sporting endevour and e-mail me the details..

Anybody know what is happening with RT?
I haven't heard about him for the past week. Hope he didn't have too much at Xmas celebration.
Not much has been heard about Micheal and my wages too.

Brother Dar, Apologies for the late response but I have had a bad case of the tribbles over the festive period. I have partaken of both the grape and the grain which has resulted in a slight inflammation of my lower colon. I have seen Doctor Pattle, my GP,  and have been prescribed Bromide washed down with ENO salts so I should be fine come the new year.
On the wages front, I received an e-mail only this evening from Candy ( Michael's fiance' ) to report that tragedy struck our portly poster during his kayak expedition. Apparently, he took a wrong turn at Chappaquiddick  and ended up going over the Grand Canyon. As well as writing off his kayak he also fractured his spleen in three places and was rushed to Cedar Sinai Hospital in Montevideo  where he was placed in the recovery position.

He is due to be married on New Years day in Las Vegas and according to Doctor Bruce Banner at Cedar Sinai, it is touch and go as to whether he will make it or not.

Fortunately, Michael kindly gave Candy his bank card and pin number and she assures me that she will be calling into Western Union tomorrow to put things right before she hits Rodeo Drive on her wedding day shopping spree.

As soon as I get a response I will send you a PM with the relevant details. Dib Dib.

RT......?

Is this guy your love child from a brief dalliance in Abuja, or what?

You seem very close.

I got drunk in Tenby once when I was about 20 and I now get birthday reminders / CSA threats from some Welsh bird who says I'm responsible for her progeny.

I think she's trying to stitch me up because the kid's ginger.

And black.

Breadman, Darequam has been our eyes and ears on the scouting front in Nigeria for a good number of years. He was originally based in Ibadan but is now located in the Capital, Lagos. Apart from the odd Nigerian scammer trying to get in on the act, the trials and tribulations of Brother Dar are well documented. As well as having a good eye for spotting sporting prowess on the football pitch he is also a talented rapper who goes by the name of Swagger D.

On the Bolton Nuts forum, Darequam is affectionately known as the milkman, because he always delivers.

I have just received a lovely postcard from Michael which I am guessing was taken before his boating accident.

Candy has e-mailed me to report that Western Union will not send dollars to Nigeria so she is heading up to the Golan Heights where she has been told there is a Moneygram agent.

It is with regret that I report bad news on the payment front. A Moneygram payment was made to Brother Dar but due to an incorrect spelling of his name, Darequam was unable to draw the funds.

I made contact with Michael and obtained a faxed copy of the transaction on Brother Dar's behalf, which I then took to a Moneygram office in Miles Platting. I explained the mistake with the name of the recipient but I was requested to supply ID on the payee's behalf. This I was unable to do because the payee was bedridden in an American hospital. Basically, the Moneygram agents have snaffled Darequam's wages!

I contacted Michael and he was furious on hearing the news. He was due to be released from hospital but he had contracted a bad dose of MRSA and bed sores which had resulted in his impetigo and gout to flare up once again. He was due to leave hospital yesterday, but the doctors have postponed his release until Monday after they have analysed the results of his Barium meal test.

If Michael gets the all clear he will sort out this fiscal fuck up on Monday and then we are back on track for January and we can all look forward to Dar's tantalising reports.
